Outpatient Mental Health Services

Our Approach to Therapy
There is no single approach that works for everyone. Our clinicians draw from a variety of evidence-informed and clinically established approaches based on each client's needs and treatment goals.
Approaches represented within our clinical team include:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Identifying and changing patterns of thinking and behavior that may contribute to emotional distress.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills
Building skills in emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
A trauma-focused approach that can help individuals process distressing experiences and symptoms associated with trauma and PTSD.
Psychodynamic and Insight-Oriented Therapy
Exploring patterns, experiences, relationships, and underlying factors that may influence present-day emotions and behaviors.
Gottman-Informed
Couples Therapy
Helping couples strengthen communication, manage conflict, deepen connection, and develop healthier relationship patterns.
Trauma-Responsive Care
Creating an environment that recognizes the impact of trauma while emphasizing safety, choice, collaboration, empowerment, and resilience.
Culturally Responsive Care
Recognizing that culture, family, community, identity, history, and lived experience can all influence mental health and the therapeutic process.

Individual Therapy
Individual therapy provides a confidential space to explore challenges, develop new skills, understand patterns, process experiences, and work toward personal goals. Treatment is collaborative and tailored to the needs and strengths of each client.
Couples & Relationship Therapy
Relationships can be a tremendous source of connection, but they can also become a source of stress and conflict. Our clinicians help couples improve communication, understand recurring patterns, navigate conflict, rebuild connection, and strengthen their relationships.

Family Therapy
Challenges rarely exist in isolation. Family therapy can help family members improve communication, strengthen relationships, establish healthier boundaries, navigate transitions, and better understand and support one another.
A Whole-Person Perspective
At The Pines Institute, treatment is about more than managing symptoms. We recognize the importance of relationships, personal history, culture, community, purpose, resilience, and lived experience.
Whether someone is working through a difficult period, recovering from trauma, navigating relationship challenges, managing a mental health condition, or simply wanting to better understand themselves, our goal is to provide a therapeutic environment where meaningful growth can occur.
Our team is here to help you find the provider and level of support that fits your needs.

Supportive Sober Living
The Pines Institute's Sober Living Program provides more than a place to stay. We offer a safe, comfortable, and supportive home environment in a welcoming residential neighborhood where individuals can focus on recovery while building the skills, relationships, and confidence needed for greater independence.
Our goal is to create a true sense of home and community while connecting residents with therapeutic support, recovery resources, and opportunities for personal growth.
More Than a Place to Live
Recovery happens in everyday life. Our residents have opportunities to practice healthy routines, build meaningful relationships, develop new skills, and experience connection with others who are also working toward positive change.

Residents have access to a combination of supportive services and activities, including:
Individual Therapy
Access to mental health and recovery-focused counseling based on each resident's individual needs and goals.
Nightly Groups
Regular opportunities for connection, education, skill building, recovery support, and personal growth.
CCSS Services
Comprehensive Community Support Services help residents strengthen practical skills, access community resources, work toward individualized goals, and increase independence.
Life Skills Development
Support with developing healthy routines, communication skills, problem-solving, coping strategies, and other skills that contribute to long-term stability.
Community Building Activities
Fun, engaging activities give residents opportunities to develop healthy interests, practice social skills, build relationships, and experience enjoyment in recovery.
Recovery Focused Community
Residents live alongside others who understand the recovery process, creating opportunities for encouragement, accountability, and meaningful connection.

Building a Life in Recovery
We believe recovery is about more than avoiding substances. It is about building a life that feels worth protecting.
Through structure, therapeutic support, community involvement, skill development, and positive experiences, residents are encouraged to identify their strengths, develop greater independence, and create meaningful goals for their future.
The Pines Institute provides a supportive bridge between treatment and independent living, giving residents a safe place to continue their recovery while learning how to navigate everyday life with greater confidence.
Connection. Community. Independence.
At The Pines Institute, residents aren't simply staying in a sober living house. They are becoming part of a community designed to support recovery, responsibility, connection, personal growth, and long term success.
A safe home is the beginning. Building a meaningful life is the goal.
